For now, this thread will be unlocked, so post your submissions here, however when it becomes longer, I will consolidate the info and lock the thread, so submissions should then be PMed to me.

Starting with the most commonly asked:

Resetting Maintenance required light/Service Required light:

-Turn key to "ON" position, but do not start.

-Switch odometer/trip meter to meter "A"

-Turn key to off

-Hold in Trip meter button and turn key back to "ON"

-Continue to hold the trip meter button untill you see the countdown, should be displayed as "------"

-When reset, turn key back off.  When you start the car or turn the key to "ON" again, the light should be off.

Not to be confused with the CHECK ENGINE light, this light simply notifies you of when you oil is due to be changed at the factory interval, which is 5000 miles in USDM Yaris'.  If you use standard 3500 mile oil, you will need to change sooner, and not depend on this light to remind you.

Correcting the squeak or chirping sound when shifting on Manual transmission:

-Directly below the stock Airbox, you will see where the shift linkage enters the transmission.  At this point, some Yaris' develop a rubbing, squeaking sound whenever they shift, myself included.

-The resolution was to spray some white lithium grease (available everywhere) directly onto the two marks circled, shown below:

-Turn on the car, and shift in and out of every gear after spraying, and spay a tad more to ensure good coverage.
